This is our latest project - a 'learn and earn' shop for coffee, light meals and the sale of items, including bakery products, that are made or grown at Home & Life.

The project capitalises on Home & Life's position on the Phuket-Takuapa road, with traffic passing all the time. It will be a place to stop, to rest, to drink coffee and maybe to have a meal.

The shop - which needs sponsors to provide construction funds and start-up cash - will be another step towards self-sufficiency as well as teaching our children how to manage and staff the project.

And, especially, it will give training and an income to our children who, under Thai rules, have to leave when they are 18 so that younger children can be taken in.

Our 18-year-olds still need the love and care of a family and we want to keep them with us until they are ready to face life on their own. To do that, they need to earn money and pay for their stay because the foundation is not allowed to spend its money on them.It will also give them a business training.

We already have an operational bakery, a small cafe, organic garden and fish farm as well as handicraft making. These will underpin our Coffee & Bakery Shopwith quality and good supplies.

If you can help us, please call Bhudit "Root" Maneejak on 0819513237 or email him at homelifethailand@yahoo.com.
